" I was astonished & delighted to discover a very rare photo of my "Nana Mary" on your site. Mary Holdcroft (delivering post) became Mrs. West (she had 2 children- Freda & Albert)I believe the family lived in Charles St. After being widowed she married my (also widowed) maternal Grandfather, Nicholas Brown Gibson in 1952/3. They lived at 1, Boldon Drive. Mary was a dedicated councillor for many years until her death in 1975, and Gibson Court was named after her. I still have 2 aunts (both in their '80's) living in Boldon, and this website has become a real talking point for them!
Many, many thanks; I'll keep watching!
 Kind regards, "

Wendy Gibson Brown (Thirsk, North Yorks).
